Astyk Trans JSC invested in repairs of 600 wagons with extension of the service life in 2017, 682 wagons in 2018, thereby fully preserving it. In addition, in 2018, the company acquired 721 grain hoppers.
In total, in 2018, the volume of investment in the acquisition of new cars and capital repairs of the existing fleet amounted to 11.9 billion tenge. In 2019, it is planned to invest up to 15.0 billion tenge in fleet updating. The working fleet of wagons is fully involved in the transportation of Kazakhstan grain.
At the same time, since 2017, the Company has experienced difficulties with the repair of wagons due to 3 times increase in the cost and shortage of basic spare parts (cast parts, bogies and wheel sets). Below is the dynamics of price growth relative to the value of 2017.

However, if the situation with the shortage and rise in the cost of spare parts and, accordingly, an increase in the cost of car repairs does not change in the near future, the Company will be forced to raise tariffs within inflation expectations.
