Transfer informational pressure into a constructive dialogue
A heavy crop harvest in Kazakhstan this year initiated a considerable quantity of informational occasions for discussion in the media. In addition to pride for domestic farmers, the key topic was the systemic problems of agriculture, as well as infrastructure restrictions of related industries. The obvious difficulties were primariy highlighted. The script of the information campaign led to populist identification of the guilty without understanding the specifics of the grain market. Completely unverified facts, not supported by analysis, were published and broadcast, the opinion of individuals was reflected, categorically accepted as the only true one. For development of discussion and a kind of pluralism of opinions, some media offer to place refuting information on a commercial basis, ignoring the Law "On Mass Media" of the Republic of Kazakhstan, obliging to publish a refutation free of charge. Unfortunately, as a result of this PR campaign regarding domestic freight forwarders, constructive solutions and mechanisms for development of railway logistics of grain cargoes are not formulated. As the volume of transportation decreases in the journalistic environment, interest in grain transportation as a whole also decreases. As a result of numerous discussions, I would like to see a qualitatively new level of publications and television programs based on verified information, because the grain carrier market is open and ready to conduct a constructive dialogue.
