Dear customers and partners!
Considering the mass formation of loaded wagon traffic, the destination of the Central Asian country (hereinafter referred to as CAC in the amount of 10.2 thousand wagons (201 trains) is forecasted to slow down the turnover of wagons, which will affect the timeliness of providing customer requests with rolling stock and fulfillment of the planned transportation in November this year.
We note that during 13 days of November, 2,368 loaded grain wagons towards CAC were suspended from traffic within the branches of KTZ – Cargo Transportation LLP, which is 780 wagons higher than the same period in October this year (+49%). We note that some wagons stand idle in an "abandoned" state for 3 to 5 days, in addition, they are repeatedly suspended from traffic.
Due to unproductive downtime on the way, the delivery time of some grain wagons that arrive at the destination station with a 20-day delivery time violation is not observed.
Caused by uneven and irregular passage of loaded wagon traffic with CAC destination, a mass approach of wagons is formed at the destination station, which negatively affects the downtime under unloading. So for 13 days in November 2022, 1,344 grain wagons were unloaded at the destination stations of CAC, idle time under unloading at a rate of 3.00 days was 5.08 days. We note that 930 wagons were unloaded in violation of the unloading norm for more than 3 days, some wagons were idle waiting for unloading for up to 16 days.
In order to prevent an increase in wagon downtime, as well as to ensure transportation in other directions, JSC Astyk Trans is forced to reduce the provision of wagons towards Saryagash junction until the situation normalizes. Applications for Central Asia that were not completed in November, in case of postponement to the next month, require re-approval, taking into account applications already accepted for December.
