Due to the mass formation of loaded wagon traffic towards interstate junction point (hereinafter referred to as IJP) Sary–Agash and others in the number of 9.5 thousand wagons (170 trains), a slowdown in the turnover of wagons is predicted, which will affect the timeliness of providing customers with wagon and the fulfillment of planned transportation in November this year in full.
We make a point that in October of this year, 1943 loaded grain wagons towards Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were suspended from traffic within the branches of LLP “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy – Relifting of supplies”. In addition, with a norm of loaded mileage of 11 days, some wagons arrived at the destination station with a violation of the delivery period for 12 days. Idle time for unloading at destination stations was 4.82 days.
During 7 days of November this year, 926 grain wagons were "abandoned" towards Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, which is 80% higher than the level in comparison with the 7 days of October. Idle time under unloading due to the mass arrival of cargo increased by 0.58 days (+17%) compared to the statistics of 7 days of October this year.
Based on the above, it is predicted that the progress of loaded wagon traffic towards Sary-Agash IJP will slow down due to a decrease in capacity due to the employment of infrastructure by "abandoned" trains, as well as unproductive downtime of grain wagons under unloading, which will have a negative impact on timely return of rolling stock for the following customer requests.
Kindly note this information and consider the possibility of applying for alternative transportation routes until the operational situation on Sary-Agash IJP route is normalized.
