During the past week, business activity on Kazakhstan’s food wheat export market remained low. The bulk of shipments was executed under previously concluded contracts. This was reported by APK-Inform Asia in its weekly review.According to the data provided, fourth-class wheat was offered at 230 USD/t on DAP Saryagash terms. Third-class wheat with 23–24% gluten was priced at 240–245 USD/t DAP.
At the same time, prices in the feed barley segment increased. Quotations were formed at 240–250 USD/t FOB Aktau and 230–235 USD/t DAP Saryagash.
On the domestic grain market, no significant adjustments were recorded during the reporting period. Third-class wheat was traded within 92–98 thousand tenge/t EXW, with an average level of about 95 thousand tenge/t. Fourth-class wheat was sold at 85–90 thousand tenge/t EXW (average 87 thousand tenge/t), while fifth-class wheat was priced at 80–85 thousand tenge/t EXW (around 82 thousand tenge/t). Feed barley prices amounted to 85–90 thousand tenge/t EXW.
Analysts note that existing transport subsidies continued to provide additional support to prices.
