The harvesting campaign continues in Kazakhstan. To date, grain crops have been harvested from 5.5 million hectares, accounting for 35.5% of the total area. This is almost twice the figure recorded during the same period last year.The average yield stands at 14 centners per hectare. Since the beginning of the harvesting campaign, farmers have threshed 7.7 million tonnes of grain. During the same period last year, 3.9 million tonnes were harvested.
The first results from the intake of new-crop grain indicate its quality characteristics. Licensed grain receiving enterprises have already received 1,025.2 thousand tonnes of grain. This is seven times more than during the same period in 2025, when 145.5 thousand tonnes were accepted for storage.
The majority of the soft wheat received belongs to the third class. According to the results of quality assessments, third-class wheat accounts for 78% of the grain accepted. Another 14% has been classified as fourth class. Fifth-class wheat and unclassified grain account for 7%.
Gluten content indicators have also been determined for the soft wheat received. More than half of the grain — 56% — has a gluten content exceeding 28%. Another 19% consists of wheat with a gluten content of 25–27%, while 25% of the grain has a gluten content of 23–24%.
As new-crop grain continues to arrive at grain receiving enterprises, assessments of its quality characteristics are ongoing. The Ministry of Agriculture is systematically monitoring the quality of grain being accepted, including its classification and key physical and chemical indicators.
At the same time, the harvesting of oilseeds, vegetables, melons and gourds, as well as potatoes, continues across the country. To date, 244 thousand tonnes of oilseeds have been harvested.
The volume of vegetables harvested has exceeded 1.9 million tonnes. The harvest of melons and gourds has reached 1.7 million tonnes, while the potato harvest stands at 795 thousand tonnes. Harvesting of these crops is proceeding as planned.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to monitor crop conditions. A special working group has been established to promptly assess the situation and is conducting on-site inspections in the regions.
According to local executive authorities, 98% of grain and oilseed crops are in good or satisfactory condition.
For autumn fieldwork, 401.1 thousand tonnes of diesel fuel have been allocated to the regions. To date, contracts have been signed and payments made for 161.3 thousand tonnes, representing 40% of the allocated volume. A total of 143 thousand tonnes, or 36%, has actually been shipped.
Efforts to supply agricultural producers with mineral fertilizers are also continuing. The target for 2026 is 2.3 million tonnes. To date, contracts have been signed and 2 million tonnes of fertilizers have been shipped, equivalent to 85% of the annual target.
The harvesting campaign continues as planned. The pace of harvesting, crop conditions and farmers' access to the necessary resources are being continuously monitored. The volumes of grain delivered for storage and its quality indicators are also being tracked.
